Gingerbread | Lime Carving Seasoning
For 4 people :
- 250 g of flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 10 g grated ginger
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons of anise powder
- 2 eggs
- 100 g of milk
- 1/2 vanilla pod
- 1 star anise
- 1 stalk of cinnamon
- 200 grams of honey
- Mix flour, baking powder and spice powder.
- Heat the milk with the honey, adding the star anise, cinnamon and vanilla pod, then leave to infuse for a few minutes.
- Add the eggs to the dry mixture and mix well.
- Add the mixture of milk and honey to the preparation.
- Pour the mixture into a buttered mold.
- Bake for 40 minutes in a preheated oven at 170°C.
- Leave the cake to rest for 24 hours at room temperature, covered with a tea towel.
- Slice and enjoy accompanied by lime pencil shavings.
