Gingerbread | Lime Carving Seasoning

Recipe imagined by Arthur Huet, assistant of the Savant Food

For 4 people :

- 250 g of flour 
- 1 packet of baking powder 
- 10 g grated ginger 
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons of anise powder 
- 2 eggs 
- 100 g of milk 
- 1/2 vanilla pod 
- 1 star anise
- 1 stalk of cinnamon 
- 200 grams of honey 


 

    1. Mix flour, baking powder and spice powder.
    2. Heat the milk with the honey, adding the star anise, cinnamon and vanilla pod, then leave to infuse for a few minutes.
    3. Add the eggs to the dry mixture and mix well.
    4. Add the mixture of milk and honey to the preparation.
    5. Pour the mixture into a buttered mold.
    6. Bake for 40 minutes in a preheated oven at 170°C.
    7. Leave the cake to rest for 24 hours at room temperature, covered with a tea towel.
    8. Slice and enjoy accompanied by lime pencil shavings.
