
Recipe Apple & Basil Fritters
- 2 apples
- 2 eggs
- 140g cream
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp oil
- Icing sugar
- 1/2 packet of baking powder
- Frying oil
- 1 seasoning pencil to carve Basil
- Mix the flour, baking powder, and the spoonful of sugar.
- Add the eggs and oil to get a well-homogeneous mixture.
- Gradually add the cream to your mixture to avoid lumps.
- Let the batter rest for about 1 hour at room temperature.
- Meanwhile, peel the apples, remove the core, and cut into quarters about 5cm.
- In a saucepan, heat ½ liter of oil (or use your deep fryer).
- Coat the apples with batter then put them in the hot oil.
- Remove them when the fritters are nicely browned.
- Put your fritters in the oven for about 10 minutes at 180°C to get nice soft apples.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with Basil Seasoning shavings.
