Vanilla ice cream | Basil Carving Seasoning

Recipe imagined by Arthur Huet, assistant of the Savant Food

For 2 people :

- 500ml of milk 
- 1 vanilla pod
- 6 egg yolks 
- 100 g of sugar
- 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
- 20 cl of cream 
 
    1. Mix the milk and the vanilla pod and put on the heat.
    2. Add the caster sugar and the vanilla sugar to the egg yolks. 
    3. Whisk the egg mixture until it whitens.
    4. Stir the hot milk into the egg mixture.  
    5. Return to heat and cook over low heat.
    6. Once the custard has thickened slightly, remove from heat and let cool.
    7. Then pour your preparation into an ice cream maker or an ice cream maker and let set.
    8. Serve directly, accompanying your ice cream with shavings of Basil cutting seasoning.
